Romance writers take over montreal

Were you at the Romance Author & Reader Event in beautiful Montreal? #RARE15

This year has been a great year for Canadian Book Signings... RTC in Ottawa, Sexy in the City Toronto and just this past weekend RARE in Montreal. Hopefully you had the chance to visit Old Montreal and enjoy the charm of Quebec City. I haven't been into Quebec City for many years, but it's one of my favs. and, in my opinion... One of the most romantic.

Next year we can add Alberta and Niagara Falls to the list of hosting cities. It's a great way to get out there and explore Canada. How many of us, seldom get out there and see our very own country. She's big... She's beautiful and she needs to be experienced.  I can't think of anything better than hanging out with our favorite authors and taking in some of the most beautiful cities in the world. I for one, am going to try and do as many Canadian signings as I can and I hope that I'll see you all there !

Summer in Southern Ontario, Charming small towns, Waterfront Inspiration

Summer in Southern Ontario

Hey there! Happy Canadian summer! Now that winter finally seems to have moved off, I hope you’ve all found the opportunity to curl up with a good book, or an old favorite, on one of our many awesome Ontario waterfronts and enjoy the sunshine and warm weather. Myself, I love being near the water. There is something settling and healing about it. Up until recently, we owned a rustic cottage on beautiful Sturgeon Lake in the Kawarthas. It’s where my story came to life and blossomed into my first published novel. Even the ending of my second book would not have come to fruition without the warm breeze, melodic bird songs and the gentle sound of the rolling waves as they came to rest on the shore. Today, on our travels we came across a small lake nestled near a small charming Ontario town. I paused for a moment to enjoy the view and became inspired by its beauty. It’s the kind of place where, as an author, I could unfold my chair on that warm sand, open up my laptop and write. It offers so much more than just sun burnt skin, sandy feet and bug bites. Words flow freely when the soul is settled and the mind is at peace. It’s that calmness that very quickly spurs my creative mind into action, allowing characters and ideas to form into stories to share with all of you. Now that the family cottage has been sold, I’ll spend my time taking little adventures to search out more of Ontario’s little hidden inspiration spots. I’m sure that each new town, each journey, will bring me in touch with interesting characters and inspiring Canadian landscapes to use as the back drops for my upcoming stories. So I’m wondering, what places in Ontario have inspired you?

Excerpt from Intractable Souls Book 1 from the Bound4Ireland series.

Standing in front of the glow of the fire, they warm themselves from the chill of the evening air. When the band resumes playing after their brief break, Ethan and Olivia find themselves alone by the fire. The next tune is a slow, sappy love song and Olivia gets mellow. “I love this song,” she says, closing her eyes.
Ethan snuggles up behind her and sways with her, their bodies fitting perfectly together. Singing along with the music in perfect pitch, he serenades her. His smooth voice is so seductive in her ear that it stirs in her very powerful feelings. Even the thundering sound of her pulse seems distant and insignificant.
She melts into his body for support, feeling like her legs have suddenly become boneless. When the song is over, she feels overheated by the combination of the fire and the flame he’s ignited inside her.
Ethan whispers in her ear, “Both the moon and I are consumed with jealousy tonight, Olivia. I, due to the attention you gave to an undeserving man,”
Olivia frowns, regretting that choice. “And the moon?” she asks, trying to steer away from conversation about Noah.
“The moon, for failing to compete with your beauty.”
Olivia suddenly finds it difficult to breathe. His closeness makes her uneasy. The man has a way of jump-starting her anxiety. She tries to focus on her breathing. Reminding herself that Ethan would never hurt her. Walking away, she tries to hide her sudden onset of vulnerability.
A few feet away, the property boundary is marked with a tree line of tall maples. She leans her back against one of the large trunks, trying to find her balance.
Ethan follows, putting his hand against the trunk just above her head. His body presses against her side making her heartbeat quicker. His incessant stare is daunting, forcing her to look down, trying to avoid it.
Breathing in her perfume, Ethan becomes intoxicated by its sweet, seductive scent. Lifting his free hand, he wraps it around her waist, holding her there. Christ, this woman is so beautiful when she tries to hide the way he affects her.
Ethan presses his mouth against her ear, gently nipping at her lobe. The warmth of his breath against her ear gives her goose bumps. Noticing her reaction, he moves his hand from her side, rubbing up and down her arm trying to warm her. “Are you cold?” The muscles in her stomach tighten and her chest heaves as she inhales quickly.
“No.” She shakes her head.
“What then?” He knows what. He just needs to hear her say it.
She looks up at him through alluring hazel eyes. “You.”
“What about me?” Is it cruel that he needs her to confess it? Tormenting her by making her say it aloud?
Olivia lowers her eyes again and whispers, “I hate you.”
Ethan’s hand stills on her arm. Pressing his forehead to the side of her temple he answers, “I don’t believe that’s true, at all.” He slides his hand to her hip, tugging her closer to him.
Olivia bites at her fingernails nervously, covering her mouth. Her stomach twists in anxious knots as she lays out her feelings. “I hate the way you make me feel,” she concedes.
Ethan inhales a deep breath, letting it breeze out warm and slow against her ear again. Finally, he gets to the truth. Capturing her hand, he pulls it down, away from her mouth. Not feeling the need to control or overpower her in this moment his voice is gentle, “Look at me.”
Trembling with vulnerability, she turns so they’re chest to chest. Raising her eyes, she locks his gaze to hers; green to hazel, the soulful energy of their connection, ineffable.
“How do I make you feel?” His heart is beating with a strange wobble, nervous about her answer.
“Frightened.” She pauses, swallowing hard. Ashamed at her admission, she exhales as she whispers, “Excited.”
“I see.”
Lifting her hand to his mouth, he kisses each of her knuckles one at a time. Closing her eyes, Olivia escapes his stare for just a few moments, gathering her thoughts before speaking again, “You make me feel like I’ve lost control… of my thoughts… my emotions.”
“Is that so bad?” Ethan presses her palm to his chest so she can feel the rhythmic beating of his heart. “You’re not the only one who feels that way. The moment I saw you, my heart beat your name.”
Damn him and his ridiculously romantic side, she’s never going to survive it. Her words are laced with fear. “I need to stay in control.”
“Why?” When she doesn’t answer, his Irish brogue suddenly becomes thick and Irishy. “Sweetheart, you’re no more in control of what’s happening between us than I am. Whatever this is… it has its own destiny. We can merely follow its path.”
“Give in to its force,” she adds, knowing that he’s stating the truth. It’s increasingly hard to fight.
“Yes, bend to its will,” he encourages.
Olivia is adrift in his eyes. Lost in his words. Hopelessly held captive under his spell.
Moving his hands to her hips, Ethan pulls her closer. Her nerves tingle with the anticipation of his next move. Kiss me; just kiss me already.

Sexy in the City - Romance in Toronto. Come meet your favorite Romance Authors

Hey everybody! It's me again. When I'm not roping cowboys to chairs for fun, my mind is always thinking about the world of Romance. While planning the upcoming romance author signing in event thats taking place downtown Toronto in a couple of weeks, it occurred to me just what a beautiful romantic city Toronto is.

Even if you are in a long term committed relationship/marriage there are lots of places for a romantic date night downtown. Imagine for a moment... take away all the hustle and bustle of the busy work day... the city starts soften as the sun goes down. Millions of twinkling lights dot the horizon for as far as you can see, their reflection sparkling on the water. That is the view from Toronto's CN Towers 360 Restaurant. If you have never experienced it, you need to. CN Tower 360 Restaurant.

Toronto can fulfill all your date night needs, whether you're in the mood for live theatre, or great food in Toronto's well known entertainment district or something a little out of the way at one of the smaller rooftop jazz or piano bars. Take the ferry over to Centre Island and enjoy the scenery of the magnificent Toronto harbour. Nothing better than finding a quiet spot along the lake shore with your honey and just enjoy their company...

Heading in for the day? Well, even if you're not on a date Toronto offers something for everybody. One of the greatest thing about our city is that it's surrounded by equally magnificent neighborhoods that are rich in culture and offer lots to do.  Love to shop?  Take on  Shopping in the greater toronto area.  Adventurist? Well then you need to check out Canada's Wonderland or do the CN towers Edgewalk. Like to eat?  Toronto has some of the best fine dining available at your fingertips. Not to mention Michael Bonacini's Restaurant... Canoe. Maybe do a tour of the Niagara Region

Sports, Arts and Entertainment... Rich in history and culture... That's the city of Toronto.

On June 13, 2015 The Hype PR and my friends and I are hosting a Romance Author Signing event named Sexy in the City. At the Sheraton Centre on Queen. This is a charitable event and all proceeds will be donated to the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. Advanced tickets are available through Eventbrite

I invite you all to come into the city on June 13 and join us... Several of our own Romance Eh? Authors will be there to hang out, sell and sign their books and just have some fun. Afterwards I hope you'll take the opportunity to come into the city, meet some new authors, discover the many different worlds of romance and explore Toronto and her neighbors. You'll very quickly understand why I love my hometown.

I thought it might be a good opportunity to introduce my story to you before the signing. Hopefully you'll come by and hang out with me this weekend!

My compelling and heart-pounding debut novel, INTRACTABLE SOULS, boasts tons of 5-star reviews.  It was the Winner of the 2014 LoveStruck Award for Most Magical Moment. 2nd place finish in the categories of Change My Panties, Brought The Most Heat, Biggest Knockout and OH MY Moments. It has a little something for everybody. Hot Irish alpha, mystery, humor, smoking hot sex and a romantic look into the past life of soul mates, struggling to find their HEA in this life. This is definitely a series you don't want to miss!

Do you believe in Soulmates?

Can you imagine events in your life that leave you struggling... worn down and feeling broken; unworthy of love. One day, you come across a stranger that you've known intimately only in your dreams. You want to believe that soul mates exist because you have never experienced a love so strong than when you're in his arms... but that was another place... another life...
In this life, you build up walls to protect your fragile heart, determined to keep everyone at a distance.
There's just one problem. His seriously sexy Irish accent and lethal kind of flare and charm. More than any one man should ever possess.

He feels it too, he knew, from the very first moment that he saw you that you're meant to be his. Used to getting the things he wants, he's determined to have you and struggles to control his Irish temper, the reason for his own troubled past. You're the woman that makes him want more, the kind of girl that would make any man think about forever. Afraid that he can’t live without you and unwilling to lose you, he hides his secrets and ignores his dark desires and fantasies of control.

You know how this story ends and there's no Happily Ever After; your past has ensured it. Despite the dreams and memories that would have you believe that he's "the one", your stars just don't seem to line up. No matter how much the universe tries to push you together.
Sometimes the journey to the HEA has a lot of bends in it. Sometimes, two imperfect people can love each other perfectly. Nothing else matters. Ethan believes… and inspired by love, he's determined to convince Olivia that ALL things are possible... if you just believe.

Book 2 of the Bound4Ireland Series...

Until next time! Look for love, it's all around you !

Romance in small towns, Hot British accents, -40 winters and Hey! I don't think that's an icicle!

Helloooo ! How are all my lovelies today? Have you all had a chance to experience Romance this month? I live in a very small town in Southern, Ontario. and I often joke that it's not the place to be if you're a single woman looking for romance. Heck, the only place to meet men around here is the local bar where, if you have all your own teeth... you're overdressed. lol
But you know what, Celtic Souls? Romance is everywhere! We just get so caught up in our everyday lives that we don't notice it.

I admit, romance can be subtle sometimes. It sneaks in and gives you a little kiss and you don't even know it's happened. Sometimes I have to turn off my regular brain and turn on my author brain to see those moments. And they are there... right under our noses. So let me share with you a little thing that happened to me in this small town not so long ago... It was a very cold morning. I dragged myself out of bed and got ready for a busy day in my corporate world. I had several meetings that day so I had to dress to impress. As I pulled off my street to begin my hour long commute into the city, my fuel light came on. Figures. on the day that its -40 and I'm wearing stockings and 4" heels. UGH. I pull in to the gas station on the by-pass to the highway and get out to pump gas.

While I'm following the instructions to pay I notice a black Porsche pull up to the pump on the other side. Damn nice car, I might add. Leaning around the pump I have to say the 'upholstery' was pretty good looking too. Just how long does it take to pay at the pump for heavens sakes? Push this, swipe that, insert your chip... gah ! I'm freezing ! I kicked someone on the ground that I thought was an icicle but I'm almost convinced that it was one of my nipples!
Shivering commences, and a large masculine hand, folds over mine on the pump handle. I look up at the most handsome man. Mr. Porsche 911. He smiles and nods in the direction of my van. "Go keep warm." well, as if those piercing blue eyes weren't enough, that British accent just deduced me to a puddly mess. A frozen, slushy puddle.

Suddenly it doesn't feel all that cold out. lol  Is this happening? A handsome man, with bedroom eyes and a panty melting British Accent... Driving a Porsche... is standing in -40 temperatures to pump my gas! Then it happens, I look down at the platinum ring on his left hand. Nooo! So I did what every self-respecting single woman standing in front of a hot man wearing a wedding band would do. "Soooo are you happily married?" I ask, through chattering teeth. He laughs and at that moment I expect winter to fade away and roses to magically start growing around the pumps, creating us a garden of Eden. "Go!" he says, still chuckling. "Get in the van and keep warm."
Reluctantly, I did as I was told. When he was all done, he tapped on the window on his way back to his car. Sighs......... I've never seen Mr. 911 again. I stop by that gas station all the time in hopes to catch him. Perhaps he was just a traveler passing by on a journey to somewhere. I will never know, I suppose. But I think of him often. My heart starts to beat a little funny whenever I see a black Porsche. I could have dismissed that event as a random act of kindness by a stranger. And maybe to him that was all it was. But to me... Tricia Daniels romance author... well that story morphed in my mind into a great love story. A story where they run into each other again at this same gas station sometime in the future and they are both single and available. I see a happily ever after for these two...and it's definitely a story I'm going to write. SOON!

So I have a mission for you this month, Ladies! In your ordinary everyday life, I'd like you to start looking for romance. It's out there. It might not involve you directly... it could be an elderly couple walking through the shopping mall, holding hands. It could be two strangers who's eyes meeting across the Tim Horton's. lol Email me with your stories!  author.tricia.daniels@outlook.com or send me a PM on  Facebook I'd love to share your stories with my fans!

Life is so much happier when we let love in. I'm making it my mission to share it.
