With all the snow, icy and cold weather we've had in Ontario this winter, I'm more than eager to get out hiking, enjoying the views of some of our gorgeous waterfalls and just enjoy warmer weather.
This past October, for the first time, my husband, his Grandfather, our youngest child, our pup Peaches and myself hiked through and enjoyed the sights of Egan Chutes Provincial Park. About 15km East of Bancroft, it was about a 90 minute drive from our house but very much worth it.
The leaves were gorgeous and lined the floors of the trails and the cool/damp weather made for a perfect hiking day.
Loved this tree! |
Kiddo led the way! |
Peaches had fun! |
And found these pretties! |
I'm terrible at remembering flowers. A Hibiscus I think!: |
I'm anxious to get back there and explore some more. Thinking this summer so I can see what other flowers are decorating the trails and if the water flows faster.
Hope you can visit the area if your traveling. It's like a tiny, private hideaway.
See you soon!
Ohhh you are killing me here, Kacey. That place looks gorgeous. I think I will try to get there this summer. Wonderful pics too! Thanks for sharing them with us. :-)
ReplyDeleteLOL Hope you make it there. I wished I'd taken tablet to make some book notes :D
DeleteI would SO love to visit! I am all about waterfalls, and that would be absolutely gorgeous. I just want all of this snow to go away, so that I can get out, too. *fingers crossed* that is soon for all of us. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the sound of waterfalls. I have some pix from another location near me. I'll share those next time. But nothing more soothing than a rushing waterfall.
Deletei want to hike, too! Is winter over yet?
ReplyDeleteI hope you get the chance to soon. If winter doesn't end soon, we may all become angry, dry-skinned individuals who might just move to warmer locales LOL
