Winter, Wood, Coming Soon from Kacey (@KaceyHammell) #Writer #Author #Romance

Good morning all! I hope you've had a great summer, and fall is shaping up to be awesome for you. I can't believe it's November already!! I'm about 3/4 through my Christmas buying. Our kids are getting older and while the presents increase in price, they don't need as much. So the shopping is going well and quite quickly but I've found doing most of it online saves so, so much hassle. I mean, our mall is already congested with people every day, traffic is a heart attack waiting to happen and it's impossible to get down any aisles in some stores as they are also congested. And I like buying people things that aren't always found in stores so doing it online makes it fun to find those unique gifts for everyone.

I helped the hubby with a lot of wood cutting and piling over the last few months. Many days looked like this ...

and were a lot of fun. For the most part! It is hard, back breaking work sometimes but he and I enjoyed it. Plus, it's a necessity. We need it to keep our tushies warm in the winter and we have enough acreage to do it ourselves.

In writing news, Evernight Publishing has contracted 3 of my stories in the last few weeks. Coming up are --
COVER ME (Contemporary Erotic Romance) -- Older woman/younger man
PAYBACK'S A BITCH (Contemporary Erotic Romance) -- Previous release, scene added and re-edited for re-release
GUARDING HIS ANCHOR (Suspense/Contemporary Erotic Romance) -- Canadian Muscle Book 2

I'm super thrilled to have new books coming out and am grateful that the last year is over. It was a difficult one but I've grown in strength and knowledge that I can't control everything.

I am currently writing the sequel to "Stirring Up Dirty" (Stirred by Love series), and am enjoying the characters again. It's always refreshing to return to old characters and catch up on their lives.

That's all from me today. I'm off to work on my WIP and my newsletter.   See you next month.

Upon her arrival, she is met with hostility. Convincing the other students she is not like those from Earth who came before her takes time, but eventually she is embraced by a small group of friends, including a sexy female alien she fantasizes about on a daily basis.

Autumn, the season of changes with author Jessica E. Subject @jsubject #sfr #romance

The official first day of Autumn is not until September 22, though many consider summer to be over after the Labour Day Weekend. The kids go back to school, and routines change. Yesterday was the first day that temperatures seemed to be cooler, more seasonal. And I'm not sure about where you live, but the leaves have been turning here, and falling for about three weeks now. Plus, my dog is shedding up a storm.

But, the changes are also coming in my writing as well. Later this month I will release BEYOND REACH. This story was originally published with Decadent Publishing as An Unexpected Return. To fit the line I'd submitted it for, I had to make some changes from the original story I wrote. Since I received the rights back, I've changed it back to the darker story it was, and expanded the story to give it a much harder, but much more satisfying happily ever after.

While I am finishing getting that story ready for publication, I have started a new story. It is, in a way, a genre I have never written before. It is still a romance, but it takes place during a zombie apocalypse. Zombies are new for me, but I could not get this story out of my head. When this story is finished, I will write JAGER, the next book in my Galactic Defenders series.

So, that's what's I'm up to for the next month. Well, that and a bunch of promos for my books. Here's a list of what's coming up...

September 19-23 - Sci-Fi Romance Promo FREE & 99¢ titles
September 29-30 - SPRT FREE Romance Promo & Giveaway
October 1-2 - FREE Sci-Fi & Fantasy Promo (Patty Jansen)
October 12-31 - NOR Hallowpalooza
And many more after these...

If you would like to know what books are involved in these promos, be sure to subscribe to my newsletter, or follow my blog so you don't miss any of it.

Kacey Interviews Canadian author, Karen Blake-Hall #RomanceAuthor #ComingSoon

Good morning, Karen. Thanks for stopping by our blog!
Thanks for hosting me today.

Tell us a bit about yourself. What part of Canada do you call home?
I live in Ajax, Ontario. It’s located outside Toronto. Our family moved here 27 years ago, but as a baby I lived here too. Funny that I ended up back where I started.

What is one highlight that readers might find interesting about your hometown/city?
Ajax didn’t exist before World War II. It was decided to put a Defense Industries Limited (DIL) munitions factory on farm land. It was close to GM tank factories in Oshawa and Camp X, the spy training facility, in Whitby. The town was named after the HMS Ajax.
You may have seen the TV series, ‘Bomb Girls’. It was based on the DIL plant in Scarborough and the TV show ‘X Company’ is based on spies trained in Camp X.

What is your favorite Canadian saying?
Eh? I can’t explain it, but I do say it more than I should.

Which part of Canada would you love to visit, but haven’t had the chance to yet?
British Columbia. I have family and friends living live there. I keep threatening I’m going to visit them and enjoy all the beauty of the province.

How did you get into writing?
I’ve written stories since I was a child. I’m dyslexic and no one could understand my spelling. Laughs. When I was a teen I gave up my dream of writing, but it wouldn’t leave me alone. I wouldn’t be published without my support group, my family and my critique partners who have learned to figure out my spelling and correct it.

If you weren’t a writer, what other career would you have?
Salesperson. I talk a lot. lol

Karen's upcoming release ...
Single mother, Molly Jackson, wants to run the family freight business in the North West Territories and take care of her family without receiving any more creepy letters from a stalker.
When Gramps ask him to stop the stalker, RCMP officer Brock Kingston comes home, excited to prove his love to Molly, but is surprised by her coolness.
Will their rekindled love survive when a secret from the past is revealed?

Releases April 15

Karen Blake-Hall Bio
When Karen talks about romantic suspense stories, her eyes twinkle wickedly, or at least that’s what she’s been told.
Karen’s sharp-bladed fiction cuts to the heart of the emotions driving her characters in desperate situations.
When she’s not at her day job she’s crafting more tales of love and crime or spending time with her husband and children. She lives outside of Toronto with her husband, The Professor.

Thank you for stopping by, Karen. We all wish you the best of luck with  You Are Mine.

WHERE THE HECK DID THE YEAR GO?

With holidays looming upon us, I really wonder where the year has gone.

This year has been a complete write-off where as productivity is concerned, but I'm ecstatic at what prospects 2015 has to offer. My spreadsheet is ready to go, and I have several different projects that I expect to release next year at some point.

The first of four releases is coming February 16th and it's the re-release of A Gift From Fate.

After that, I'm thinking of another paranormal novella for May, but I have to wait and see how much work it requires and if I can find an editor in enough time. So this will be my next one if all works out.

I'm hoping to get two full length novels out next year, but I'll settle for one if that ends up being the case.

In addition to all this madness, I'm also assisting my chef husband to set up a table at a local farmers/flea market. If you're ever in the neighborhood of Sault Ste. Marie, you need to check out Mill Market Square. It's kind of like Kensington Market in Toronto, but very scaled down.

That's it for me right now. What are your plans for 2015.
